Embodied Yoga Life Coaching
Embodied Yoga Life Coaching (EYLC) is an intuitive, body-led movement practice that helps you reconnect with your body’s wisdom through sensation, expression and nervous system regulation. Traditional yoga postures are used as starting points rather than fixed destinations, inviting you to explore your own unique way of feeling, moving and healing.
This is about partnering with your body, building trust and building your capacity to feel through intuitive movement, breathe and sound.
Who benefits from EYLC?
There are many reasons why you might engage in EYLC. If you are in the perimenopause or menopause stage of your life, you may notice pent-up anger, feel restless and have a sense of wanting to reset boundaries; you’re maybe saying yes, but want to say no. If you're going through a big transition, for example, after childbirth, after illness, when starting a new business or job, or going through a break-up, divorce or bereavement, EYLC can really help.
You are not alone
EYLC can be helpful to discharge emotions and calm the nervous system as you embark on any new, exciting, stressful or challenging chapter of your life. If you are ready to change and be your best self, book a call. It's a free conversation to see how EYLC can help you.

Whether you choose 1:1 EYLC or Group depends on what experience you have with yoga and how in-tune you feel with your body. 1:1 work can create a safe space to be guided through somatic options, so you can test out how they feel for your body. I can support you towards intuitive movement that creates or discharges energy and closes the stress cycle. Progressing onto a group setting may be a next step as your confidence in your body and its innate wisdom builds. 1:1 work is online or in-person in Houston, Renfrewshire.
Group sessions run online and in person and are posted on my Facebook page Lynda Mutter Health.

The process
Free discovery conversation
This is a free 30 minute conversation where we can discuss what has brought you to consider EYLC and what you like to achieve through engaging in EYLC over the coming months. I can tell you a bit about EYLC and the amount of time and support that may be helpful for you. Starting with 1:1 coaching is often the 1st step before moving onto group classes. This call will help you decide if we are a good fit, and you can ask any questions you may have. I will explain programme cost, and next steps if you decide to go ahead.
1:1 Sessions
The sessions are personalised to your body, your goals and your aspirations. A session commonly includes:
REGULATION
The 1st part is about creating a safe space and allowing the body to calm. Some days are more stressful that others so this is tailored to how dysregulated you feel using movement, sensation and sound with the aim of calming the sympathetic nervous system before commencing the session.
CHECK IN & INTENTION SETTING
This is similar to traditional coaching, identifying what you want to work on and may be a continuation of a theme from the weeks before. We consider “how will you know you’re making progress?” This helps us track progress as we move through the weeks and months.
SOMATIC INQUIRY
This is a pause so you can notice physical sensations connected to a thought, memory, or emotion, rather than moving straight to analysis. Body mapping to notice where pain, tension or discomfort are experienced. I guide you by asking questions where necessary.
SOMATIC BREATHWORK, SOUND & MOVEMENT
This step is used to shift nervous system state, release tension, or create space for a stuck feeling to move. This can be gentle or big movements and can include shaking, spiralling, punching, kicking or flicking movements and using the voice from sighs to screams.
REFLECTION & INTEGRATION
This is about connecting what came up physically back to your goals, patterns, or the story that’s running in the background.
ACTION STEPS
Similar to standard coaching, action is about translating insights into concrete next steps. Over the weeks, we focus on your goals and notice what changes and shifts in the body and how the gap between where you were and where you want to be is narrowing.
Groups are less personalised than 1:1, however the nature of intuitive movement is that you incorporate what feels good to you. In a class, 15 people may all be doing different versions or indeed totally different movements from each other. That’s the beauty of EYLC. It’s about finding your intuitive authentic self and having the confidence and safety to go with it. It’s also great fun.
TAKING THIS NEXT STEP MEANS PRIORTISING YOUR HEALTH, YOUR NEEDS

Embodied Yoga Life Coaching isn't about replacing therapy, and it isn't a substitute for medical care when that's needed. But for many people navigating stress, transition, or the frustrating gap between insight and action, it offers something conventional coaching or purely cognitive approaches often miss: a way back into the body, where so much of our real change actually happens.
